About Kartable

Our philosophy

Kartable helps students with their schoolwork and make the most of their potential.

How do we help? It's easy. At Kartable, students can study, practice, take tests, and access teachers.

No ads, no distractions, only the essentials. And we're experts at the essentials.

Every day, we use methods, technology, and coffee(!) to ensure succeeding in school is (almost) as easy as 1-2-3.

Our history

Since the beginning of the 21st century, digital technology has revolutionized many of our daily activities.

Yet for far too long, education has taken the back seat. Courses were scattered across the web, the reliability of content was rarely sufficient, and the user experience was hampered by countless distractions and intrusive ads aimed at students.

"At the time, we were two young graduates who had met at HEC and who shared the same passion for mathematics and the transmission of knowledge.

In 2013, we decided - with a hundred or so teachers from the French National Education system - to create Kartable, the leading online offer of content on middle and high school subjects, easily accessible and largely free of charge.

For more than five years now, we have been helping students become better at school. Our team has grown, our offices have grown, but our desire to keep things simple has remained unchanged." Sarah Besnainou, Director of Kartable.

All subjects

All the subjects are consolidated to allow students to perfect their strong points and improve their weaknesses.

From 2nd to 12th grade

Kartable covers all subjects from elementary to high school to help students learn, review, or brush up on their skills.

Official curricula

All our courses, worksheets, and exercises are created by teachers from the French National Education system in accordance with the curricula of the current school year.

Our mission

It is simple: create an environment that allows for each student to progress at his or her own pace. To achieve this, Kartable starts at the beginning: (re)instilling the motivation that many students lack. The Kartable project is driven by a major social goal: to offer all students the opportunity to succeed in school at the lowest possible cost. We therefore strive to raise enough money to continually invest in our learning tool, all the while ensuring free access to the maximum number of features and resources.

Our teaching method

Your child is unique. At Kartable, his or her learning process is too.

We evaluate your child's strengths and weaknesses to provide them with a personalized curriculum.

They make progress, and you follow their progress in real time via a detailed parental dashboard.

Our sources of revenue

We have opted for a tool without ads to help students concentrate and thereby facilitate the learning experience. In order to make Kartable accessible to as many students as possible, we offer free access to course materials, methods, and exercise sheets.

To cover our operational costs, we offer subscriptions starting at €7.99/month that include advanced features which allow students to study and learn as intensively as they wish. In particular, these subscriptions provide students with unlimited corrections to their exercises.

Our quality of service

At Kartable, we place great importance on the quality of our content and features. All course content is created exclusively by teachers of the French National Education system in strict compliance with official national curricula.

Our services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week - even during times of peak usage such as preparations for the French baccalaureate. If you have a question or comment or wish to point out a bug or error, please feel free to contact us by sending an email to our customer service. We will do our best to resolve any questions or issues. You can also follow us on Facebook & Twitter, and contact us there as much as you please.
